Session Brief:

Government and their institutions are the single largest generator of informations for their internal usage as well as to provide vital services to the citizens. They are also the single largest user of ICT and Technology Infrastructure of the country. Many of the communications and infrastructure are also being provided by the private sector successfully.

Our Government’s Vision of becoming a developed country by 2041 will require our government and its services to the citizens be recognized as world class and emulated by other countries of the world.

We believe that there are over 60,000 sustainable middle-income jobs which can be unlocked by outsourcing through public-private partnerships. Our BPO Industry also have the opportunity to become the destination of choice for other countries to offshore their service (of govt.) delivery from Bangladesh.

Our achievable goal by 2021 is to ensure our Government and its institution are outsourcing their services; which will create a minimum of 20,000 middle income jobs, providing services to the citizens of Bangladesh based out of Upazilla, Districts or National centers, thereby, creating employment at Local level.

Few of the successful examples are 999 & 333 Services.

Expected Outcome:

A firm commitment and alignment by the policy-makers to identify and provide guidance to unlocking the outsourcing of Government to Citizen Services; thereby creating a minimum of 20,000 jobs by the year 2021.

Target Audience:

Policy-makers from all relevant Ministries and Institutions of the country, BPO service providers, Consultants and etc.
